Our Story
Hi! I’m Pili, the heart (and hands) behind Petaluma Bakehouse. I started this little bakery as a new stay-at-home mom trying to find a way to contribute to our family’s growing expenses while staying close to my baby. Baking has always been my love language, so it felt natural to turn it into something more (something that could help pay the bills, because let’s be honest, I was already bringing plenty of baked goods to the table).
Petaluma Bakehouse was born right here in our home kitchen, built on love, flour, and the dream of balancing motherhood with a sprinkle of entrepreneurship. Everything I bake is made with that same heart.. warm, homemade, and full of cozy sweetness.
At Petaluma Bakehouse, everything is made from scratch with simple, mostly organic ingredients and a whole lot of mama love. I focus on creating homemade treats that feel nostalgic, cozy, and real; the kind of baked goods that make your home smell like Sunday morning. From buttery loaves and soft alfajores to fudgy brownies and moist cakes, each recipe is tested (and tasted) right here in our kitchen until it’s just right.
You’ll also find a little Argentine touch here and there, since that’s where I’m from — a hint of dulce de leche, a sprinkle of nostalgia, or a recipe inspired by home. Nothing fancy or overly complicated, just honest, comforting bakes made with care, meant to bring a little sweetness to your day.
